In Iran, Attacks On Families Of Protest Movement Leaders On Eve Of Qods Day
On the eve of World Qods Day, on Friday, September 3, pressure is mounting in Iran on the leaders of the Green (Protest) movement.
Fatemeh Karroubi, the wife of movement leader Mehdi Karroubi, said that Basij and IRGC forces attacked their home in Tehran on recent nights, and prevented the family from performing the Ramadan prayers. She accused Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of being behind the actions. She added that the family had no intention of relinquishing its struggle, and that her husband would participate in Qods Day events.
Zahra Rahnavard, the wife of movement leader Mir Hossein Mousavi, was also attacked by regime forces.
